about

If you are looking for relaxation, healing, or calming, this album is for you. If you are looking for increased concentration, compassion, and love, these songs of mantrams are for you.

Mantrams, or mantras, according to meditation expert Eknath Easwaran, are “spiritual formulas for transforming consciousness,” and they exist in all the world's wisdom traditions.

In “Ten Thousand Threads” you travel from a joyful Jewish “Barukh Attah Adonai” to a passionate Muslim “Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim,” and end with a twenty minute rendition of “Rama,” the beloved Hindu mantram that has been used for thousands of years.

Repeat your mantram ten thousand times, and you weave a garment of peace within yourself.

Kabir (ca. 15th century) said,
"I weave your name on the loom of my mind
To clean and soften ten thousand threads
And to comb the twists and knots of my thoughts."

Lisa, Logan, and Jan are longtime meditators, weaving mantrams throughout their busy days in the San Francisco Bay Area and Fort Worth, Texas.

German-American composer and producer Jan She wrote the original music for these ancient prayers at SFCM, and he developed his interest in meditation while earning his Bachelor's at Juilliard.

Cheesemaker and environmentalist Logan Bell-Rhodes's soaring soprano and Ph.D mathematician Lisa Bishop's passionate alto voices bring these ancient words and new tunes to life.

Argentinian composer/guitarist/sound engineer/producer Nahuel Bronzini turns this into a sound experience that you will keep wanting to come back to.
